Recreation Superintendent Barbara DavidsonSuperintendent Barbara H. Davidson has been with the Borough of Leonia as its Superintendent of Recreation for 23 years. Prior to her serving as the Recreation Superintendent, she was a member of the Physical Education and Health Department of the Leonia Middle School.  Mrs. Davidson has also had the distinct privilege of running the Leonia Swim Club for 40 years as of 2020.

Superintendent Davidson is a graduate of Springfield College in Massachusetts with a degree in Physical Education and Health and a Certified Pool Operator for 40 years. The Superintendent of Recreation is under the charge of the Leonia Recreation Commission who are appointed by the Mayor of the Borough. Barbara oversees two full time staff members and over 100 part time staff.  The position of Superintendent of Recreation is responsible for the management of programming, the Recreation Center, the parks and playgrounds within Leonia Borough, the Senior Center and its programs and the Leonia Swim Club.
