The Municipal Court is an independent branch of government constitutionally entrusted with the fair and just resolution of disputes in order to preserve the rule of law and to protect the rights and liberties guaranteed by the Constitution and laws of the United States and this State.

Virtual (Remote) Courtroom Security Policy - Restrictions on Personal (Non-Media) Cell Phone Use in the Virtual Courtrooms

All parties involved in legal proceedings, including traffic and parking matters, such as complainants, defendants, attorneys, and victims, are encouraged to contact the municipal court via email at Leonia.MC@njcourts.gov for all general inquiries. 
Please refrain from leaving voice messages, as adjournment requests will not be processed through this method. For urgent matters, communicate with the court by email as specified.
Individuals scheduled to appear before the municipal court may request a case review by submitting a plea by mail form, available on the forms link. Ensure that a valid email address is included with your submission.

To dispute a case, new users will be required to create a User ID and password in order to register and log into the Online Municipal Case Resolution system.
 
Court sessions are held 2nd and 4th Tuesday starting at 5:00 pm.
