Environmental Commission
The Commission is an advisory to the Mayor and Council and is charged with studying and making recommendations in areas of conservation and environmental protection, including but not limited to open space preservation, water resources, solid waste management and beautification.

Historic Preservation Commission
The mission of the Leonia Historic Preservation Commission is to protect and preserve the unique character of Leonia with specific focus on its historic sites and buildings.

Recreation Commission
This commission promotes and develops recreation, sports, and fitness opportunities while addressing the needs of the residents and promoting a strong sense of community and improving the quality of life in Leonia

Shade Tree Commission
The Leonia Shade Tree Commission is charged with protecting, maintaining and replenishing one of our town's most important qualities: its fabulous population of shade trees.

IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL VIA GOOGLE MEET

Please be advised that the Leonia Recreation Commission will be having their reorganization meeting on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 7:30pm in the Municipal Center, 229 Fort Lee Road, 2^nd Floor, Leonia, NJ 07605. Members of the public can also join this meeting virtually via Google Meet from a computer, tablet, or smartphone by visiting: https://meet.google.com/pdh-gdmw-sup or dial in via phone by calling +1 (337)-346-2469 and entering the Access Code 320-112-113

Formal action may or may not be taken. Meeting materials are posted on the Borough website and can be found by clicking on the following link:

Members of the public who attend will be able to give public comment during the relevant portions of this meeting either in person or virtually.
