Welcome to the Borough Clerk's on-line office, office hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 8:30am-4:30pm, and Tuesday 8:30am-8:00pm and Fridays till noon.

Garage Sale Permits

Available in my office at 312 Broad Avenue, the fee is $10.00. The form for the application is available on line. Please note that if you fill out the form it does not mean you have a permit until you either mail the application in with a check for $10.00 payable to the Borough of Leonia, or bring in the completed application and the fee.  You may have two garage sales a year.

Absentee Landlord

If you own a home in Leonia but rent the home to someone you must by State Law register with the Borough Clerk's Office.  The form is available on-line.  Please complete the form and mail it to my attention at 312 Broad Avenue, Leonia.

Voter Registration

Voter registration forms can be downloaded below (in English or Korean), or are available from the Clerk's office during normal business hours.  Forms may be submitted by mail or in person.  For additional information, absentee ballet applications, or voter registration forms in alternate languages, please visit www.NJElections.org.

Passports

Passports are processed in the Office of the Clerk on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 8:30 am to 3:00pm, and Tuesday 8:30am-7:00pm.  No passports will be processed on Fridays.  First time passports require an original U.S. birth certificate or original naturalization papers and another acceptable form of identification, such as valid drivers’ license or County ID. For a minor child under the age of 16 both parents need to be present or the absent parent must complete the specified form and have it notarized. All minor children are required to be present the time an application for them is filed. All application require two passport photos no school pictures are acceptable. The fee for a passport for a minor child is a check or money order for $60.00 made out the U. S. Department of State, and a check or money order for $25.00 to the Borough of Leonia. For an adult applying for a first time passport must supply an original U.S. certificate (Birth Certificates from Jersey City and Secaucus are bit acceptable) or Original naturalization form and another acceptable form of ID. The fee is $75.00 check or money order made out to the US Department of State and $25.00 for the Borough of Leonia. Passports are generally taking 3-4 weeks.
